Dancer has made a big impact on my life in the short time she has been here.  A wonderful sweet-hearted girl she has made so many exciting things happen!  She is my first owner handled Champion (and what a thrill that is!) my first show dog and my first obedience dog! I not only got a wonderful example of the breed standard but gained a close friend and mentor in her breeder - Julie Speer.

Dancer is quite the package! A very typey girl, with more than adequate bone, she exhibits a charm hard to ignore.  Dancer is nicely balanced  with a level topline stacked and on the move , a beautiful shoulder, strong neck, great pigment and a correct scissor bite.  An impressive combination of her sire AM-CAN Ch Chuckanut`s Party Favor O Novel  SDHF OS and dam Ch Splendid Wedgwood,  I can see that great things await Dancer in the future!!

Dancer easily completed her Canadian Championship novice owner handled by 11 months of age with only 4 days of showing.  Dancer has also won the breed over Nationally ranked specials, at the young age of 15 months!   Dancer has recently started her obedience training and although we haven't taken any formal classes (just practise at home) Dancer has placed in the top four each time we have competed and has earned multiple High In Class scores.  We are starting to look for more formal classes and have set our site on our Companion titles.

As it happens, my first show dog wasn't meant to be a part of my breeding program here at Harmony Goldens.  Dancer will remain the starting point of Harmony Goldens and the benchmark for breed type and temperament that I will strive for.  I am sure she will have a paw or two in the raising and teaching of the Harmony Goldens Retrievers in our future!

You can see more of Dancer in her album below and on our News page!
